Harry “Mo” Greene II M.D.

  • Born in Hannibal, Missouri to a physician father and nurse mother (who was also an artist.)
  • Graduated in 1964 from Westminster College, and in 1972 graduated from Medical School going on to be Junior, Senior, and Chief Resident at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, both in Boston, Massachusetts. He went on to be a Fellow in Oncology at Sydney Farber-Dana Cancer Center and an instructor of medicine at Harvard.
  • In the middle of his education, Dr. Greene served in the US Army (2nd Lieutenant) 82nd Airborne as a battalion surgeon with 321 artillery and was honorably discharged after service in 1966.
  • Harry “Mo” Greene was a passionate educator winning Outstanding Teacher Awards at Harvard, University of Massachusetts, and U of A, as well as serving as Vice Chairman of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
  • Served as an Editor for the New England Journal of Medicine during sabbatical before serving as a Faculty Development Scholar in Preventative Medicine at Stanford University, in Palo Alto, CA. Following this, he worked as an Associate Professor, Vice Chairman of Medicine, the University of Arizona, and the Head of Primary Care.
  • He was so committed to the children and greater good, he participated in the nation’s first Ronald McDonald House and was one of the founders of Hope Lodge for Adults with Cancer.
  • Harry “Mo” Greene is so committed to children, he worked with Charlie Baker (the current governor of Massachusetts), to create the FIRST Children’s Health Care Bill. Their accomplishment is now the national model.
  • Since retiring to Oro Valley he has continued teaching (this time through his passion for art) and serving as Chairman of  Southern Arizona Arts Guild (SAAG).
  • Currently, he serves on his HOA and previously served on the Naranja Park Planning Committee when he’s not spending time with his incredible grandchildren.
  • In January, Mo created an oil painting of Chief Daniel Sharp and it was subsequently presented by the Town of Oro Valley to honor the Chief’s service.
